Job Summary The School of Languages and Cultures in Purdue University's College of Liberal Arts invites applications for a full-time academic year, Postdoctoral Researcher in Korean Studies beginning August 17, 2026. The position is affiliated with the Purdue Interdisciplinary Center for Korean Studies (PICKS) and supported by the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS). Working closely with the Director of the Korean Program and the Purdue Interdisciplinary Center for Korean Studies (PICKS), the successful candidate will engage in research, teaching, student mentorship, and academic initiatives within a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment. Responsibilities Conduct collaborative, externally funded research in Korean Studies and contribute to scholarly publications, grant-funded projects, and the mentorship of undergraduate researchers. Actively contribute to the continued growth of the Purdue Korean Program and the Purdue Interdisciplinary Center for Korean Studies (PICKS) through academic programming, outreach, recruitment, and student engagement. Teach two undergraduate Korean Studies courses each semester. Appointment This is a full-time, Academic Year (AY) postdoctoral appointment beginning August 17, 2026. Position Summary: The Research Assistant Level 1 will support the standardized implementation of study protocols, including participant recruitment, cognitive assessments, data entry, data management, and quality assurance activities. The position requires handling data collected in Korean and active participation in data preparation and analysis.
