이번 특강의 제목은 〈10개 단어로 배우는 한국어교원을 위한 노동법〉입니다.

한국어교원의 계약서에는 ‘근로계약’, ‘위촉계약’, ‘용역계약’, ‘강사계약’ 등 여러 이름이 쓰입니다. 

그러나 계약서의 이름만으로 근로자인지 프리랜서인지가 결정되지는 않습니다. 

실제로 누구의 지휘를 받아 일하는지, 임금과 근로시간은 어떻게 정해지는지, 

나를 고용하고 책임지는 사용자는 누구인지 살펴보아야 합니다.

As academic advisor (50% of position), you will be expected to recruit and advise students in our two departmental majors: Language and Culture Studies and Global Cultures and Emerging Technologies, as well as assist relevant Bachelor of Humanities and Arts (BHA) interdisciplinary and student-defined majors. As the primary academic advisor, your duties will include meeting individually with students to review academic progress, provide holistic guidance in developing personalized education plans for your advisees which include fulfilling general educational and degree requirements, exploring experiential learning opportunities, making academic progress and setting personal goals. APPOINTMENT DATE AND ACADEMIC CALENDAR

The need for part-time faculty is greatest in Fall and Spring semesters. The Fall term begins in the late August and ends in mid-December; the Spring term runs from the middle of January through the end of May. On rare occasions part-time faculty are needed during one of the Summer Session segments.

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

Regular performance evaluations of part-time lecturers are made by the department in accord with the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070. These performance evaluations determine which lecturers will be retained for future and continued teaching assignments. And in some instances, syllabi, assignments and reading material will be reviewed by the departmental personnel committee.

APPOINTMENT AND SALARY

All part-time faculty appointments are made as Lecturers, under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the California Faculty Association. Initial appointments are for one semester only.

Classification Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per month

Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $6,221 per month

The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. For a three-unit assignment, typical starting compensation ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester.

The final salary may be influenced by various factors, such as location, labor categories, experience, education, and/or certifications. CTC also provides a variety of benefits as well as opportunities for continuous education and development.

Heart of English is a VIP language school in Eskişehir. We offer private and small group lessons for students of all ages and levels. With our new branch in Batıkent, we are building a supportive and motivating environment where learning a new language is enjoyable for everyone.

Role Description

We are looking for a part-time Korean Language Teacher to join our team in Batıkent. The role includes teaching both face-to-face and online lessons, mostly in the evenings. You will be working with students of different ages and levels in VIP and small group classes, creating fun, supportive, and personalised Korean learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Korean.
• A bachelor’s degree in Korean Language and Literature, Korean Language Education, Translation and Interpretation, or a related field is preferred.
• Flexibility to work mostly in the evenings and with different age groups.
• Ability to teach both online and face-to-face lessons.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to create an encouraging classroom environment.
• Teaching certificates or experience in teaching Korean as a foreign language are a plus, but not required.
• No prior experience needed, we welcome new graduates and teachers at the beginning of their careers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver fun, engaging, and student-centred Korean lessons.
• Teach VIP students and small groups of different ages and levels.
• Support and motivate students to build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
• Prepare students for their personal, academic, travel, or TOPIK-related goals where needed.
• Give constructive feedback and track students’ progress.
