Qualifications Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens

To qualify, you must meet the education requirements described below: State or Territory Certification/License. A valid fully professional state teaching license in content areas or the state's equivalent (as DoDEA determines comparable to DoDEA's teacher categories) will be accepted as fulfilling all qualifications for professional teaching education and certification in content areas. In addition, a minimum of 18 SH of professional teacher education course work in such areas as learning process, tests and measurement, educational philosophy, psychology, social foundations, methods of teaching and curriculum applicable to the type and level of the position for which applying is required. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Foreign Degrees and Course Work from Non-accredited Institutions. Credits or degrees earned from a foreign college or university must be evaluated prior to acceptance. Three evaluation procedures are acceptable:

• The work may be evaluated and interpreted by the International Education Research Foundation, Inc., Credential Evaluation Service, Post Office Box 3665, Culver City, CA 90231-3665 or
• The foreign institution that awarded the degree is on a list endorsed by a regionally accredited university or on a list endorsed by a state department of education for the purpose of teacher certification in that state (this procedure will require an English translation of the transcript and a copy of the document awarding the degree, together with an authenticated list produced by an American university or a state department of education); and

[한국어능력시험(TOPIK) 답안 유출 및 부정행위 발생]

지난 4월 12일 실시된 제105회 한국어능력시험(TOPIK)에서 국가 간 시차를 악용해 답안을 미리 유출하고 공유한 부정행위가 적발되었습니다. 미국과 유럽에서 시험이 먼저 치러진 점을 이용해 중국 SNS 등으로 답안이 유출되었으며, 국내 시험 도중 이를 쪽지로 보던 중국인 유학생이 현장에서 적발된 것입니다.

직장갑질119 온라인노조 한국어교원지부는 울산시교육청과 정책협의회를 거쳐 4월부터 한국어교원 표준 근로계약서를 체결하고 임금명세서를 지급하기로 했다고 6일 밝혔습니다. 이에따라 울산시교육청이 전국 최초로 '한국어교원'과 근로계약서 작성을 의무화하게 되었습니다.

​울산시교육청이 그동안 '가짜 프리랜서'로 계약해온 한국어교원들에게 표준 근로계약서를 작성하고 임금명세서를 지급하기로 했습니다. 이는 17개 시도 교육청 중 첫 사례입니다.

이번 조치는 한국어교원을 실질적인 '노동자'로 인정한 결과입니다. 계약서에는 학교장이 강사에게 반드시 계약서 사본을 교부해야 한다는 점이 명시되었습니다.

​학생 사정으로 수업을 못 하게 될 경우 강사에게 미리 통보하도록 하여, 출근한 강사를 그냥 돌려보내고 나중에 보강을 요구하던 부당한 관행을 막는 근거를 마련했습니다.

​하지만 교육청 사업인 '찾아가는 한국어교육'에는 적용되지만, 교육부 특별교부금 예산으로 운영되는 '한국어학급'은 아직 협의가 필요합니다.

한국어교원지부는 향후 과제로 1.학습 시간의 충분한 확보, 2. 전용 교실 마련, 3. 주 15시간 미만만 계약하도록 강제하는 교육부 지침 폐기를 꼽았습니다.

1.학력이 고졸이면 온라인수업 말고는 일자리가 거의 없는 수준인게 맞나요?

2.외국어를 최소한만 하면 된다는데 이건 거짓이겠죠?

영어는 할 수는 있는데 일상대화나 내가 익숙한 주제만 프리토킹 가능하지만

영어를 정말 유창하게 안더듬고 구사하는 수준에는 한참 못미치며

당연히 한국어문법이나 표현 설명을 영어로 막힘없이 잘 할 수 있는 수준은 아닙니다.

스크립트 외워서 설명하는 연습하면 어느정도 커버 되겠지만

학생이 이해가 안되서 영어로 물어보면 영어로 그 내용을 즉각 피드백 할 수 있겠냐라고 하면...

솔직히 자신 없고 여기서 크게 벽을 느꼈습니다.

이건 단기간에 해결될거 같지 않아서 좌절하게 된 거 같습니다.

자격증 따려고 양성과정에 돈 몇십만원 태우고 시험준비 하다가 얼핏 여러 정보들을 듣고나니 현타가 쎄게 오네요

온라인만 할거면 그냥 자격증없이 도전하면 되는데 뭐하러 돈태우고 시간태워서 자격증 준비하는건가 싶기도 하고

강사들 중 석박사들도 많고 여러개의 외국어 잘하는 사람들도 하도 많다보니

진로설정 잘못했나 싶기도 하네요
