The DFG Research Training Group “East Asian Futures: Visions and Realizations on National, Transregional and Global Scales” (GRK 2833) offers seven 0,75 TV-L 13 positions at Ruhr University Bochum and the University of Duisburg-Essen for Doctoral Research (m,f,x) from Oct 1, 2025 till Sep 30, 2029 The interdisciplinary research training group GRK 2833 solicits doctoral dissertations for research on East Asian projections and conceptions of the future: how they emerged, on what premises they were based, and how they have been and continue to be applied to the paradigmatic fields of (1) language, religion, and ideology, (2) self and society, (3) resources and technology, and (4) sovereignty and governance. Moon Family Postdoctoral Fellowship, 2025-26 University of Pennsylvania: School of Arts and Sciences: School of Arts and Sciences Centers and Institutes: Kim Center for Korean Studies LocationPhiladelphia, PA Open Date Nov 15, 2024 Description The James Joo-Jin Kim Center for Korean Studies at the University of Pennsylvania announces a Moon Family Postdoctoral Fellowship for the 2025–26 academic year. The postdoctoral fellowship is open to scholars from any discipline with a research and teaching focus on Korea. The fellowship will cover the 12-month period between August 1, 2025 and July 31, 2026 and provide a stipend of $67,000 as well as conference travel funds up to $2,000. The postdoctoral fellow will also receive a shared office space and access to libraries and other resources at Penn.
