브랜다이스 대학교 포닥 펠로우십 Brandeis University postdoctoral fellowship
The Department of History and the East Asian Studies Program of Brandeis University invite applications for a Florence Levy Kay Postdoctoral Fellowship in Korean and/or Japanese History, with the rank of Lecturer for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 academic years. This is a full-time, two-year faculty position beginning July 1, 2025. We are particularly interested in candidates whose scholarly research in Korean and/or Japanese history addresses important questions in one or more of the following areas: social and economic history; politics and international relations; environment and climate change; and cultural history. The successful candidate will teach courses in the area of specialization—one each semester, for a total of two courses per year. We expect the candidate to have received the PhD by August 2025 and to demonstrate excellence as a scholar and teacher. The fellowship includes a 2025/2026 academic year salary of $64,000 plus benefits as well as a research fund of $4,000 per year and $1,500 for relocation expenses. University of Tübingen, PhD position in Korean Studies
3-year Ph.D. position (E13 TV-L 13, 65%, f/m/div). (The salary is about 33,000 to 37,400 euros/ per year, depending on work experiences.) The Korean Department of the University of Tübingen seeks to fill a Ph.D. position that will start on April 14, 2025. The successful candidate will start a Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Junior Professor Yewon Lee. Dr. Lee is looking for a candidate with a Master’s degree in a field that qualifies for research and teaching in Korean studies. (Those who are trained in sociology, anthropology, geography, and political science are encouraged to apply.) Proficiency in qualitative methods in social science research—e.g., ethnographic, in-depth interview, and historical analysis—and experience in empirical research on Korea is required. Specific research interest in either urban, labor, social movement, and/ or gender is preferred, but not necessary. The candidate must be fluent both in English and Korean at an academic level. 해외대학 장학금 안내미국 버지니아대학교 박사 후 과정 포닥 The Department of East Asian Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks applications for a one-year Postdoctoral Research Associate and Lecturer in the field of late imperial (Ming-Qing) Chinese literature.The successful candidate will be expected to teach two courses per semester. Our gateway course EAST 1010 (“East Asian Canons and Cultures”) is taught both in the fall and spring semesters. EAST 1010 is required for all majors and minors in Chinese, Japanese, Korean and East Asian studies and introduces the cultural foundations of East Asian civilizations.
