Al Akhawayn University (AUI) is an independent, not-for-profit, co-educational, Moroccan university with a globally oriented, English-language, liberal arts curriculum based on the American system. The University is accredited through the New England Commission on Higher Education (NECHE).
AUI’s Language Center is seeking applications from qualified and experienced instructors in “Korean Language and Culture” for a full-time teaching position starting in Fall 2024.
Education & Experience:
· M.A. in Korean language teaching and pedagogy or a related field;
· Minimum 3 years of full-time experience teaching, ideally in university settings in the Korean language;
· Experience with and knowledge of curriculum development and a variety of curricular approaches and methodologies for teaching Korean as a Foreign Language and/or courses related to Korean history and culture.
· Strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach to working with others.
Key Responsibilities:
· Teach up to 4 sections a week (equivalent to 12 hours per week);
· Hold regular office hours;
· Regularly attend meetings;
· Develop learning and assessment materials;
· Collaborate with other faculty and administrative staff;
· Actively support the mission, core values, and teaching philosophies of the Language Center;
· Participate in service to the Language Center and the University
