This is a remote position.A Korean teacher is responsible for teaching the Korean language and culture to students.Some specific job duties of a Korean teacher may include:
- Planning and delivering lessons that are aligned with the curriculum and goals of the school or district.
- Creating a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes student achievement and participation.
- Assessing student progress and providing feedback to students, parents, and school administrators.
- Keeping accurate records of student attendance and grades.
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay up to date on best practices in teaching Korean as a second language.
- Collaborating with other teachers and school staff to support student learning and success.
- Participating in extracurricular activities, such as language clubs or cultural events, to provide additional learning opportunities for students.
- Being knowledgeable about Korean culture, literature, and history and incorporating this knowledge into lesson plans and classroom activities.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, such as linguistics or Asian studies.
- Be fluent in both Korean and English.
- Have strong communication skills and be able to adapt your teaching style to the needs of your students.
- Be knowledgeable about Korean culture, literature, and history and be able to incorporate this knowledge into lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Have experience with or be willing to learn instructional technology and use it in the classroom.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Have a positive attitude and be able to motivate and inspire students.
