세종학당 면접 순서

세종학당 면접 방법이 회를 거듭하면서 조금씩 바뀌고 있습니다. 아래에 기술한 면접 순서와 방법은 오늘(2023년 4월 12일)을 기준으로 가장 최근에 면접을 보고 온 선생님들의 경험을 바탕 기술한 것이며 앞으로 있을 세종학당 면접은 다를 수 있습니다. 세종학당 면접은 크게 세 개의 순서로 나눌 수 있습니다.

1. 교안작성

먼저 서류전형에 합격하신 선생님들은 교안을 작성하시게 됩니다. 교안으로 작성할 내용은 제비 뽑기로 결정합니다. 이 교안 작성은 전체 면접시간인 10~15분에 포함되지 않는 시간입니다. 즉, 교안 작성을 먼저 하시고 제출한 뒤 시강을 하면서 면접이 시작됩니다.

2. 시강(약 5분)

교안을 작성하셨으니 교안대로 시강을 하셔야 합니다. 3명의 면접관 앞에서 강의를 하시게 되면 그만하라는 말이 있을 때까지 하시면 됩니다. 이때 발음, 학습자의 수준을 고려한 어휘와 문법 사용이 요구됩니다.

3. 면접(5~10분)

면접은 작성한 교안과 시강에 대해서 질문합니다. 따라서 이것을 잘 준비하셔야 합니다. 교안을 준비할 때 예상문제를 생각해 보는 것도 방법입니다. 포스트 코로나 시대인 만큼 이에 대한 질문들이 나올 수 있습니다.

Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Temporary SLI Korean Tutor on the Dahlonega campus. The Summer Language Institute (SLI) is an intensive, residential language program. The SLI covers the content of two semesters (1001 + 1002) of language learning in a 7-week period. Tutors are an integral part of the program; they work under the supervision of SLI faculty and in collaboration with the resident tutors to provide assistance to SLI students.
Tutors may be responsible for activities such as taking attendance, monitoring language lab sessions, assisting students in language assignments such as conversation drills, homework, test preparation, leading discussions, etc.  Tutors are expected to attend extracurricular activities and assist the instructor in the preparation and logistics of such activities. Tutors are expected to work 7 days/week, including weekends and holidays, during the program. They cannot commit to taking summer courses during the second half of the summer semester and/or maintain a second job. Tutors report June 8, 2023 for Orientation. Program dates: June 10 – July 28, 2023.

Responsibilities

  • Take attendance, monitor lab sessions, meal times, and other scheduled activities specified in the tutor schedule.
  • Engage the students in conversing in the target language. Be firm, strict, and encouraging when working with the students on their oral assignments. Set a good example for the student participants.
  • Lead discussions, give presentations, and participate in field trips and other activities over the duration of the program.
  • Help students with their homework, projects, preparation for class, tests, exams, etc.
  • Grade homework and quizzes under the instructors supervision.
  • Perform other tasks designated by the instructor.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma required.
  • College level language courses completed at the 2002-level minimum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in intensive language program preferred.
  • Native or near-native Korean language proficiency preferred.

The College of East Asian Studies at Wesleyan University invites applications for an appointment as a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Korean Language and Culture beginning Fall 2023. The visitor will teach a five-course combination of intermediate and advanced Korean-language classes, and two courses in the area of their specialization. Normally, the courses of specialization would be taught in English.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are a PhD or ABD status in Korean language, linguistics, education, literature, film, history, anthropology, sociology, popular culture, or other related field at the time of appointment (if ABD, the appointment will be as an Instructor until PhD has been conferred). Applicants must have native or near-native proficiency in Korean and English. Those with teaching experiences at all levels with both heritage and non-heritage learners of Korean at the college level in the US are most welcome to apply.

1. Location: Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China
2. Teaching oral Korean to students aged 18-21 (freshmen and Sophomore)
3. Making lesson preparation and delivering lessons according to university course
4. Evaluating students process and providing ongoing guidance for improvement
5. Participating school activities
6. Contract Term: September 2023-June 2024
7. Work days: Monday-Friday, 2days off on weekend, no office hour
8. Work hours: 14-16 teaching hours per week (45 minutes/ teaching hour)

Salary and Benefits:
1. Salary: 8000-8200RMB (Before Tax) (negotiable, depends on the work hours and qualifications)
2. Accommodation: free of charge, well-decorated and full-furnished apartment; utilities bill on the employer.
3. Vacation: full paid one month winter vacation.
4. Tour in China: winter vacation allowance of RMB1,100.
5. Airfare Allowance: maximum RMB8,000 reimbursement of round-trip airfare upon the contract fulfillment.
6. Insurance: health & accident insurance.
7. Work Visa: offer work Z visa.

Requirement:
1. native Korean speaker
2. 4-year Bachelor’s degree from an accredited universities
3. Over 2 year of Korean teaching experience
4. having Korean teaching certificate is preferred

It is a one school year contract starts in Sep. 2023.
Workload: 16 classes/week;

What You’ll Do

  • Work to ensure that scholars enjoy a classroom culture  characterized by high expectations and high support.
  • Create an inclusive classroom and school community by engaging in training, reflection, and dialogue around issues of race, identity, diversity, equity, and inclusion for our staff and scholars.
  • Plan and prepare for effective implementation of a coherent, research-based curriculum.
  • Develop and use a variety of assessment data to refine curricula and instructional practice.
  • Maintain strong relationships with scholars, families, and colleagues through effective and frequent communication.
  • Continuously improve your professional practice through weekly coaching sessions, professional development, and collaborative, data-driven reflection with department and grade-level teams.
  • Cultivate the social-emotional well-being of all scholars by building a positive classroom culture that leverages strong partnerships with scholars, their families, and the school’s scholar support team.
  • Foster a life of active citizenship for all scholars through the implementation of age-appropriate conversations and activities centered on current events, participation in community service and outreach opportunities, and active celebration of scholars’ culture, heritage, and identity.
  • Engage in whole-school events and tasks, including transitions, family conferences, tutoring, and other activities/duties as needed and assigned by school leadership.

Compensation

Our salary schedule is commensurate with experience and starts at $63,480 for a first-year uncertified teacher and $69,000 for a first-year certified teacher. Democracy Prep employees are provided with a benefits package that includes medical, vision, and dental insurance, 403(b) matching, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, a smartphone, and a laptop.
