■イベントの計画策定や運営
オープンキャンパスや体験授業など、学生の集客イベントの企画や運営等も担います。
■カリキュラムの作成・開発
1年毎に業界の情勢などに適したカリキュラム・授業内容にするため内容の見直しを実施しており、内容の改訂等にも積極的に携わっていただきます。

[職務内容]
(1)本学言語文化科目の韓国語を担当、担当時間数は1学年度を通じ週12時間(8コマ)(チャットルーム担当時間を含むこともある)とする。
ただし、80人位の多人数のクラスを担当することもある。

(2)教材の作成および試験問題の開発など授業に関連した諸活動

(3)授業以外での学生指導、学生相談及び研究活動

 

[応募資格]

以下のいずれも満たす者

(1)韓国語を母語とする者又はそれと同等の能力を有する者

(2)外国語としての韓国語教育学、韓国語学あるいは韓国文学を専攻し、かつ大学で外国語としての韓国語教育の経験を有する者

(3)上記専攻領域に関連する分野の博士後期課程単位修得者あるいは博士号取得者

(4)採用後は、松山市内もしくはその周辺に必ず居住できる者

 

[待遇]

(1)勤務形態:専門業務型裁量労働制により、1日に7.5時間働いたものとみなされます。

(2)給与:
   ①年  俸 5,040,000円(年俸の12分の1の額を月割りにて支給する)
   ②住宅手当 学校法人松山大学給与規程に準拠して支給する。ただし、月額30,000円を限度とする。
   ③通勤手当 学校法人松山大学給与規程に準拠して支給する。

(3)給与からの控除:法に定める税金・労働保険料及び社会保険料(私立学校教職員共済法に定める掛金)を負担しなければならない。
※所得税・住民税については、租税条約により免除される場合がある。

(4)教員研究費:年間400,000円(図書を含む消耗品費・学会等出張旅費・機器備品購入費等)を支給する。

(5)休日:土・日、国民の祝日、開学記念日、年末年始、夏季一斉休暇
※ただし、本学の授業日程により勤務日とすることがある。

(6)赴任旅費及び帰国旅費:
・本法人への赴任及び雇用契約期間満了による速やかな(1ヶ月以内)応募時点の居住地への出国に際し、応募時点における居住地の最寄りの空港と松山空港間の普通航空運賃片道(エコノミークラス)の実支払額を支給する。ただし、同伴者の旅費は支給しない。
・荷物移転料として往復各10万円を限度に実費を支給する。ただし、復路については、雇用契約期間満了による速やかな(1ヶ月以内)応募時点の居住地への出国に限る。
・赴任後、上記以外の手当として、着後手当7万円を支給する。但し、同伴者については支給しない。

The Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Arizona invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Korean Studies with a focus on the post-1945 period, field of specialization open (with the exception of anthropology). Possible research areas include (but are not limited to) literature, history, language and culture, film, music, and religion. Teaching responsibility is four courses per year, including undergraduate courses and graduate courses on topics in the applicant’s area of specialization. The successful applicant will demonstrate a promising record of teaching and scholarship and contribute actively to the department’s plan to expand its East Asian Studies major by adding a Korean Studies emphasis. The successful candidate will teach all levels of our courses in East Asian and Korean Studies; will contribute to program building; will develop and teach courses in the Universitys General Education curriculum, and will have enthusiasm for actively recruiting new majors and minors. Duties & Responsibilities

Teach four courses a year, including undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate’s particular area of interest.
Contribute to curriculum development.
Keep an active research agenda and record of publication commensurate with a research-intensive institution.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Adult ESL Instructor will provide instruction on proper translation and pronunciation from English to Korean. In addition, the curriculum will include proper business etiquette, table manners and Korean customs. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plan, prepare, and teach well developed lessons which enthuse and inspire students, and promote enjoyment of learning.
  • Effectively and appropriately differentiate instruction so as to meet all students’ learning styles with an appreciation for students’ learning differences.
  • Select and sequence appropriate materials, resources, and approaches according to the course/content area and audience of learners.
  • Assess, track, and provide relevant and timely feedback on achievement (performance and growth) and developmental needs to students.
  • Accommodate independent study to be completed outside of class.
  • Provide remote (in home) instruction to expatriate spouse/significant others
  • Write reports on students with clear formative comments and targets as to how to improve work by defined deadlines given, and provide regular feedback on assessments.   
  • Maintain current lesson plans, assessment data and attendance records.
  • Design, administer, and evaluate a range of formative and summative assessments as appropriate.
  • Complete administrative tasks as define and by set deadlines.
  • Induct students appropriately to provide academic advice, counselling, educational guidance, and advisory support, including individual learning plans, as directed.
  • Develop materials and resources, implement, support and/or lead in the production and improvement of curriculum planning as appropriate, and undertake other academic project work as directed.  
  • Ensure lessons are in line with planning and their respective objectives, and that segments of lessons are shared with students, as appropriate.  
  • Provide feedback on materials, courses, and lessons to academic and other managers/colleagues as requested.
  • Utilize learning spaces and tools effectively (i.e., notice boards, displays).
  • Local Travel (within the Dallas/Fort Worth areas) is required.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Fluency in Korean and English required. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 to 5 years of teaching experience, preferably working with expatriates.

In the Department of Classical & Modern Languages & Literatures, we equip our students to be competitive in the next stage of their career through high-impact education in language and culture. We foster transdisciplinary cultural and literary studies and second language research.

Major/Essential Functions

The Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures at Texas Tech University (TTU) invites applications for a lecturer position in Korean/Japanese to begin in Summer 2023. This position is a full-time, non-tenure track, benefit-eligible position and is renewable contingent upon successful performance reviews and departmental budgets.

The successful candidate will show evidence of effective teaching, ability to develop the curriculum, interest in program coordination, and willingness to supervise and collaborate in extracurricular and outreach activities. The candidate must have an M.A. in hand by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities of the position include teaching both lower and upper-division undergraduate courses in Korean and Japanese, contributing to curriculum development, and helping with program-building, recruitment initiatives, and program events.

The Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures at TTU offers a congenial and exciting context for teaching languages and cultures. The Korean and Japanese programs provide a variety of courses, ranging from language courses at various levels and courses taught in English introducing Korean and Japanese cultures. Both programs are vigorously growing. In particular, the Korean program is one of the fastest-growing programs in the department. Students also have opportunities to study abroad in Japan and Korea.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in a related field. Ability to teach effectively. Job assignment is full-time instruction. This position will be classified as Security Sensitive and require a criminal background check if selected for employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Native/native-like knowledge of both Korean and Japanese or at least of one of them and intermediate to advanced of the other; A professional level of English
  • An MA degree in hand by the time of appointment, with specialization in Korean/Japanese language pedagogy, applied linguistics, second language studies, foreign language education, or other related fields
  • Ability to develop the curriculum, including large-enrollment culture and language courses, in-person and online
  • Experience with or interest in program coordination and willingness to supervise and collaborate in extracurricular and outreach activities
  • Two years’ experience in second/foreign language teaching in post-secondary settings
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing upper-division courses in Korean/Japanese
  • Familiarity with instructional technology and language assessment
