한국어강사 해외채용 중국 Dulwich College Suzhou ~Nov 30, 2023

한국어강사 해외 채용

중국 Dulwich College Suzhou

About Role

Dulwich College Suzhou (DCSZ) seeks an inspirational and innovative educator to join Senior School from August 2024. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in our fast-growing school in Suzhou, one of China’s most vibrant cities. At DCSZ children in Senior School are aged 11-18.

Our School

Dulwich College Suzhou opened in 2007 and is recognised as the leading international school in the region. Our College is a Co-Educational Day School for students from Age 2 to 18. We have 800 students, spanning over 30 nationalities, with 420 students in Primary School (Nursery to Year 6) and 380 students in Senior School.

Dulwich College Suzhou is academically selective and follows an enhanced British and international curriculum, adapted for the needs of our international student body.

Across Primary School there is an inquiry enhanced British Curriculum. Students in Years 10 and 11 follow the IGSCE curriculum and the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) or IB Career related Program (IBCP) in Years 12 and 13. Our graduates go on to study at leading universities in the UK, USA, Canada, Korea, and around the world. Our average IB results for the Class of 2022/23 is 37.5 with a 100% pass rate and 45% of our students scoring between 40 – 45. One of the most formidable statistics here is having the highest amount of bilingual diplomas in the group, showing how skilful our college is in supporting children of non-native English speakers. This reflects why we are the first school in Asia to achieve ‘Language Friendly School’ certification. In 2023 two of our students attained ‘Top of the World’ IGCSE marks in Additional Mathematics and Chinese as a Second Language.

The primary teaching language is English, with a dual language approach in Mandarin and English in the early years (ages 2 to 7). To ensure our students will thrive, we assess the level of English of non-native speakers before an admissions decision is made. Our Mandarin programme is streamed and caters to all abilities. In addition, we understand that language and culture are integral to the identity of our students. We ensure that our learning environments are inclusive, honouring the diverse language backgrounds of all of our students.

Our academic curriculum is complemented by rich co-curricular programmes. We prioritise holistic education and academic excellence, tradition & innovation, sustainability, and community.

The close collaboration among our Colleges and with the founding school, Dulwich College in London, gives our students and staff unique opportunities to participate in network events and benefit from the group’s relationships with leading educational and artistic organisations. Suzhou is called the ‘Venice of the East’ and Sustainability is one of our core values, cemented by the wonderful holistic opportunities in the community and across the group, be it Green School Bali, HIF school in Switzerland and much more. Cultivating a ‘pioneering spirit’ that enables our students to be effective global citizens across the community and passionate lifelong learners is why we are pioneering programs like the IBCP and developing bespoke inquiry programs. We are a growth mindset organisation which prides itself on investing in award winning professional development and care for our staff and students, which is why our pastoral programs were shortlisted in the top three best pastoral program awards recently. Dulwich College Suzhou is a place where we foster passion, compassion and perseverance across the community.

We warmly welcome you to consider joining the Titan Community where minds expand and opportunities flourish.

About the Position:

The College of Education is home to more than 1200 credential and graduate students. The College of Education’s work focuses on closing the opportunity gap. The College’s impact is notable given the fact that we credential the largest number of teachers of any public institution in the state of California and have the largest Ed.D. program in the CSU system. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Secondary Education team as the Asian Language Teacher Education Program Consortium Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator I). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

The Asian Language Bilingual Teacher Education Program Consortium Coordinator supports opportunities for current and prospective K-12 teachers to obtain an Asian bilingual credential at CSU. The program is committed to supporting educational opportunities and successful career outcomes of credentialed teachers and teacher education candidates seeking Asian bilingual authorization, including, but not limited to: Vietnamese, Chinese Mandarin, Chinese Cantonese, Korean, Japanese, Hmong, Khmer, and Tagalog. By providing scholarships, Asian Language Bilingual Teacher Education Program Consortium makes access to Asian bilingual authorization more accessible to current and future teachers, constructing a future that is respectful, inclusive, and promotes validity to Asian languages, the home language of many students in K-12 public education.

Under the general direction of the CSUF Program Director for Asian Language Bilingual Teacher Education Program Consortium, the Administrative Support Coordinator I provides administrative functions and coordinates the operation, publicity and overall maintenance of the program. This individual plays a key role in providing administrative support to the program’s faculty and students and is responsible for coordinating program activities, managing program databases, and communicating with partners and board members. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about Asian languages and culture, and who wants to contribute to the growth of our program. Other duties as assigned.

Diversity is a defining feature of California’s past, present, and future. Increasing the diversity of our educators to better reflect the population of California is just one aspect of the College of Education’s dedication to just, equitable and inclusive education. Diversity refers to the variety of personal experiences, values, and worldviews that arise from differences of culture and circumstance. Such differences include race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, language, abilities/disabilities, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, geographic region, and more.

All College of Education students leave with a perspective that recognizes, acknowledges, and respects the knowledge and strengths all students bring from their communities (e.g., cultural, ethnic, disability, and linguistic). This perspective is known as Just Equitable and Inclusive Education (JEIE) and is evident in all our programs. College of Education students use this perspective to make community-based assets an integral component of curricular and pedagogical development. In this way, our graduates learn to value and draw upon students’ backgrounds not only to support them in developing skills.

Leading to success in the broader society, but also as a mechanism to transform our communities. We believe that all faculty and staff who work for the college must share these same commitments.
