1.0 FTE Temporary Japanese and Korean Language Teacher – New Westminster Secondary

The candidate will be part of, and work closely with, a collaborative team of teachers. An understanding of the BC Curriculum, effective teaching and learning practices, and a commitment to professional development are essential.
This position will commence on January 23, 2024 and end on March 15, 2024 (or earlier or with possibility of extension).
Qualifications:
- Valid BC Teachers Certificate
- Member of the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch
- Qualified/experienced in teaching Japanese and Korean Language
- Native-like fluency in written and spoken Japanese and Korean language
- Experience teaching Japanese and Korean Language courses at the Secondary level
- Knowledge of effective literacy and numeracy practices and development
- Knowledge and experience in personalizing learning for all students
- Ability and willingness to work in a technologically rich learning environment
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Search as carried out through the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch
- Commitment to creating a safe and caring learning environment
Compensation:
Salary as per Teachers’ Collective Agreement. Current salary range is $57,984.00 to $107,490.00 annually plus comprehensive benefits package.
